In a solitary search to bring ideas to life, our artistic paths crossed by chance and came together through our shared love for paper.
In a world that chases perfection and moves ever faster, the digital continues to overtake the artisanal—the human expressions and imperfections. The beautiful physical exchange between an artist and their work begins to fade: the scent of materials, the sense of touch, and the mistakes that leave their mark on paper with no chance to go back with a click.
We believe that within those imperfections lie the feelings and energy of their creator, giving a soul to unique pieces that continue their journey in the hands of those who embrace and identify with them.
That’s why we chose the name Kami Sama 紙様, because we seek to honor paper—so it may once again become a path of connection with our humanity, with the acceptance of our mistakes, and with the possibility of a new beginning on every blank page.
孤独な創作意欲の道を歩む中で、私たちは偶然出会い、紙という純粋な概念への愛が、私たちを支え合う力になりました。
『完璧』という幻を追いかけているなかで、急速に進化する現代社会では、デジタル世界が手仕事や人間味あふれる表現や不完全さに取って代わりつつあります。
アーティストと作品とのあいだにある美しい接触。つまり、素材の香り、手触り、そして一度紙に刻まれ、失敗してもクリックひとつでやり直せないその作品から伝わる正統性が、少しずつ忘れられてきていると思います。
その『不完全さ』にこそ創り手の想いやエネルギーが宿り、唯一無二の魂を吹き込まれた作品となり、大切に抱いてくれる人々の手の中で、それらは、共感し、新たな物語を紡いでいくと信じています。
そこで、Kami Sama『 紙様』という名前にしました。
紙を、再び人間性とつなぐ神聖な存在として敬い、私たちの『間違い』を受け入れ、白い一枚の紙のように『新しい始まり』を見出すための道でありたいという想いを込めています。
En una solitaria búsqueda por materializar ideas, nuestros caminos artísticos se unieron por casualidad y se complementaron por el amor que tenemos hacia el papel.
En un mundo que persigue la perfección y avanza rápidamente, lo digital va ganando terreno sobre lo artesanal y las expresiones e imperfecciones humanas. Se empieza a olvidar el hermoso intercambio físico entre un artista y su obra: el olor de los materiales, el sentido del tacto y los errores que se plasman en un papel sin posibilidad de volver atrás con un Click.
Creemos que, de esas imperfecciones, se reflejan los sentimientos y la energía de quien las crea, dándoles un alma a piezas únicas que continúan su camino en las manos de quienes abrazan y se identifican con estas.
Por eso elegimos el nombre de Kami Sama 紙様, porque buscamos enaltecer al papel, para que vuelva a ser un camino de conexión con nuestra humanidad, con la aceptación de nuestros errores y con la posibilidad de un nuevo comienzo en cada página en blanco.
